Hey y’all! I am Nicole and I’m the owner of this little interior design company called Divine Living Interiors. I am a born and raised Georgia peach who has always loved great design. I received my bachelor’s degree in business from Reinhardt College (where I met the love of my life). After graduating, I went to work with my dad at his construction company. After several years, I realized that I am too creative to just do business “stuff,” so I went back to school to obtain my associates degree in interior design from Appalachian Tech… I took my first semester online because I had a 4 week (yes, week) old baby boy at home! Call me crazy!
After graduating, I had the best intensions on going to work for some amazing interior design firm in Atlanta. But having a little one at home totally changed my priorities. Even though I dream of being featured in Southern Living, Cottage Living or Better Homes and Gardens magazines (one day), having a crazy demanding career just isn’t for me… at least for right now. I am able to do a lot of my design work while my babies are at “school,” or during naptime and at night.
How did my business start? So, after playing “designer” for friends and then their friends and then their offices and so on, I decided that maybe I should I take a leap (more like a high jump) and kick off my own design company… thus, Divine Living Interiors was born! I have been so very blessed… with client after client, the freedom of creating my own hours so that I can be super involved with my children (yep, “ren” I have since had another baby boy… he is 3 months old!).
Overall, I enjoy every type of design… residential and commercial (that’s my most favorite). There is no better feeling than walking into a space and having that overwhelming feeling of “ahhhh…,” and it feels so good to be able to create that! Fresh, timeless, livable and workable interiors… with a bit of the unexpected (that’s what we designers do).
I do love design, but nothing makes my heart flutter more than my amazing, supportive and super cute hubby, our 2 young sons (3 & 3 months) and our 4-legged fury daughter, Madi. We enjoy going to church, vacationing at the beach, being with friends and just enjoying all that God has blessed us with. Thank you for stopping by and getting to know DLI and me!
